Cookies Policy

This site is built to be lightweight and to respect your privacy. It does not set any cookies of its own—there are no accounts to log into, no comment system, and nothing here tries to follow you around the web. The only cookies you might pick up come from a small number of trusted third-party services, described below. None of them are required for the site to work, so you can block or delete all cookies and every page will still function normally.

Cookies this site sets

None. We don’t use first-party cookies to remember you, store form details, or build a profile of you.

Third-party cookies you may encounter

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages people read and roughly how many visitors we get, all in aggregate. It sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<ID>) so it can tell repeat visits apart and measure how long a session lasts. GA4 does not store your full IP address, and we never use this data to personally identify you. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or simply by blocking cookies in your browser. For more detail, see Google’s privacy policy.

Newsletter and free-content sign-up (MailerLite)

Our newsletter and free-content sign-up forms are provided by MailerLite. On the pages where one of those forms appears, MailerLite may set cookies so the form works correctly and so it can measure how the form is performing. These cookies only appear on pages that contain a sign-up form. For more detail, see MailerLite’s privacy policy.

Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)

Our sign-up forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell real people apart from automated spam. On pages that contain a form, reCAPTCHA sets a Google cookie and looks at how you interact with the page to confirm you’re human. It only loads on pages that have a form. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.

A note on fonts

This site loads the Open Sans typeface from Google Fonts. Google Fonts does not set any cookies, but your browser does contact Google to download the font, which means Google receives your IP address. We explain this in our privacy policy.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings (check your browser’s Help for instructions). Because none of the cookies above are essential, turning them off won’t break this site—at most, it means our analytics won’t count your visit and a sign-up form may behave a little differently. Most browsers also let you send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, which we respect where it applies.

You can also at any time.
